The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has elevated cleaning and greening as one of its key priority areas to achieve the broader medium- to long-term goal of sustainable development.
At the centre of this commitment is accelerating and improving the efficiency of door-to-door refuse collection, while intensifying efforts to eliminate illegal dumping.
To demonstrate this commitment in practice, on Friday, 17 July 2026, the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality will unveil six new refuse compactor trucks that have been procured to supplement the existing fleet.
